Minnesota!!!

Well it has been a crazy last few days!!  Today was our second day of training.  It has been a lot of fun and excitement along with a lot of work.  The days are very long.  We are gone from 7:15 in the morning until 6:15 at night.  There is so much information that it gets quite overwhelming at times.  We have homework every night that consist of reading and memorizing.  There is a lot of lecture at this point but we should be doing more hands on things very soon.

My roommates name is Melody and she is 20 as well.  She is a lot like me so we are always goofing off which is a nice break from the training.  We both have our own rooms which is nice. There is a mini-kitchen in our room so we went to the store on Sunday to get food so that we do not have to eat out every night.

I am still very overwhelmed with everything and it is really hard for me to gather all of my thoughts.  I am really enjoying myself and working hard to memorize get everything done.  I definately miss everyone back home and in Grand Rapids and can not wait to see everyone!!

It was so great to go to Michaels game last night.  It will probably be the last one that I will see for a while now.  I made this sweatshirt for him two year ago and we have always wanted this picture!! I am so glad that the mission was finally accomplished

Great Birthday!!

Thank you so much for all the Birthday wishes!  I had such a great day yesterday.  I got to spend a lot of time with mom and dad which is always a great time.  We had pepper steak and potatoes for dinner which was so good.  I could not of asked for a better 20th!!!  Even though I did not  get to be with my friends it was great hearing from all of them.  Thank you for all of the calls and messages.

I just got done packing up 75% of my stuff in boxes.  I leave sunday at 3:15 so I think we will leave for the airport around 1. I am so excited!!!! ;)

Saying Goodbye

This whole past week I have been saying a lot of goodbyes.  I was able to make it down to IU which was so much fun.  I saw a lot of people that I have not seen in months!  It was great to catch up and see what everyone has been up to.  This past weekend I drove up to Michigan.  It was great to see people but also it made me wonder if this is what I want to do.  I was scared to see everyone thinking it may make me want to go back to school and what not.  On my drive home I was so content with the decisions that I have made that I am even more excited to go for what my future brings.  It is a challenge in a way because I really do not know what will happen in training and living conditions and the whole bit.  I am going for it all whole heartedly and could not be happier with all of these decision.  All in all, It was defiately hard to say goodbye to all of my close friends but I know that what I am doing is the best thing for me right now.  :-)

Apartments...

Well mom and I went apartment hunting this past tuesday.  It was a long day.  The first few cities that we looked at were quite scary, however once we went more south we found a few that would work out.  Right now we are really hoping that I meet someone in training so that I do not have to live by myself.  Even though it was a long day we did enjoy looking at all the different apartments!!!

Changes!!!

Well there has been a lot of changes in my life! I got a job as a flight attendant.  I am soo excited about it.  Because of this, I am not going back to Calvin this year.  I was just there for this past week and it was great being able to say good-bye to everyone.  I leave for training on the 28th of this month and will be in Minnesota for about 3 1/2 weeks.  After that I will be based out of Detroit, MI.  I am looking for an apartment right now, and bought a car which is very exciting.  I am going to the area tomorrow with mom to look at churches and apartments!  This is a huge change in my life that I may or may not like; so I would love all of the prayers that I can get! Hope all is well with everyone!
