Wow I cannot even believe that this week has gone by. The days seem so long but at the same time the weeks go by so fast!
This past Sunday was such a great day! My mom was able to get a flight out here =) She came in on the 7:15 flight and was here around 8:30. We spent the morning at a restaurant in the airport talking about training and the future and comparing a lot of things. It was so nice to have her here to talk to and relieve some of my stress too! Aunt Sharon and Erik drove up as well. They picked us up at the airport around 11 and we all four went to the Zoo. It was so much fun!!!! We ate lunch by the farm animals and I got to see the pigs! It was so great.
I loved being able to catch up with Erik and his life along with Aunt Sharon's. After the zoo we went to the mall and looked at some luggage. Aunt Sharon and Erik took us back to the airport around 5:30. It was sad to see them leave. Mom and I grabbed some dinner and ice cream which was delicious! I walked her to the gate and they had a seat for her which was great because it was the last flight of the day. Even though she was there for about 12 hours and Aunt Sharon and Erik for even less than that it felt so much longer! I had a blast and it was the best time that I have had since I have been here!!!
We also got Monday off of class because they had divided us into two groups and I was in the second group. I slept in for the first time and got to relax all day. Beki picked me up after she got off of work. I really needed to do laundry and she said I could at her house. When we got there Bert had made salmon for dinner which was spectacular. I helped her make some banana bread for the Bible study she was hosting that night. Beth came over for the Bible study and so did some other girls. It was so nice to be able to relax and be with some long time friends.
This past week has not been as bad with the long days or even as many test. We did have a few and I passed them all. This morning we had our planned emergency test which I was very nervous for. I was the first to go for it. I went into a room with an instructor and said my commands and the drills that were needed. It was very nerve wrecking but I ended up doing fine. Hopefully, we can get out tonight and go to dinner or a movie to celebrate only three more days of class!!!
Thank you for all the prayers!
