Eric's Birthday Weekend

Eric is officially 20! He came out to see all his friends that live in Grand Rapids on Saturday night.  It was great seeing everyone together again.  I do not have any pictures from chicago because they are all on Eric's camera.  I should be getting them soon.  Here are some pictures from Saturday for now. Enjoy! :)

Chicago!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited because I am taking Eric to Chicago for his birthday.  We are leaving in the morning on sunday and coming back that night.  I am not positive what the exact plans are for the day, but I know we are going to have a picnic and go to Navy Pier.  I can't wait.

Mom came up on Wednesday! It was so fun because she surprised me with bringing my dad and Chuck along with her.  We spent the day hanging out at the beach, flying kites, and shopping around in Saugatuck.  I was very sad to see them leave but only 3 weeks until I go home ;)

FUN WEEKEND!!

This past weekend was for sure a fun one! Because of my ankle I could not work at the gym on saturday so instead I decided to go visit Ashley.  Friday night we had so much fun just sitting and catching up.  Saturday she had to work so I got to hang out with another friend of mine.  We baked, went to her brothers basketball game, and we also went to the mall.  We decided to get me a wheelchair which was of course an adventure within itself.  Sunday, Ashley's boyfriend and boyfriends parents came out and us three along with their parents got to go boating on Lake Michigan.  It was a great weekend that was much needed!

I go to the doctor on Wednesday to find out what's up with my foot, pray for good news ;)

Healing

Well as of now I have been doing NOTHING!! Someone with a lot of energy like me is not very good on the couch for days.  I just want to get up and walk around.  I am starting to move it a bit more and I am trying to put a little weight on it.

I did get a package of cookies from my mom which were just outstanding!!! Thank you !!!

BUMMER!

At the gym last night, I had a bit of an accident.  I was working out and then I landed on my ankle!! We heard it pop but thankfully it is not broken.  I went to the medical center and got x-rays and  I have a sprained ankle that is very swollen.  I have been on the couch for a bit now but hopefully I can get out of the house soon.

I never realized how hard it is to take a shower without using one of my feet.... it was interesting ;)

Weekend Fun!

This weekend was a lot of fun.  Eric came  out on friday and we got to go out to dinner to Texas Roadhouse.  Kristen works there and she waited on us which is always fun. After dinner we watched a movie with some friends.  On saturday we went to Eric's cottage again which was of course a good time.  It was kinda cold so we spent a lot of time playing cards.  We did go bowling on Sunday evening which was a great time!

We got back a lab and a quiz in class today and I got A's on both! This is such good news ;)

Work, Work, Work

This week has not been very exciting.  I did have a quiz in class which I thought I did pretty well on.  I have also been working a ton this week! It feels like every time I went in for a class I picked up a few more hours.  This is very good news.

I had a meeting with a lady about baby sitting this week which went very well.  I am probably going to babysit through the year for her.  I am very excited about it ;)

I have also been out playing tennis this week.  I am getting better!!!!

Great Weekend!

Wow what a fun 4th !  Eric's cottage was a lot of fun.  We were outside the whole time ;) We played a lot of corn hole and had some intense water fights.  We went on the boat in the mornings which was fun.  I got to ski and I tried wakeboarding.  The sea doo were also a blast.  A good friend of ours, Amy has a cottage on the same lake so we got to see her as well.  There were fireworks on Friday and Saturday which were so great. It was a very needed relaxing weekend.

Now it is Monday and time to get back to business.  I already had class this morning and I am working tonight.  A nap is going to be necessary to be able to stay awake and have energy for my girls tonight.

I hope everyone had as much fun on their 4th of July as I did =)

Happy 4th!

I am very sad that I am not going to be home over the fourth! I am, however, going to be having a good time as well.  I get to go to Eric's cottage for this weekend. It should be a very good time.  I will be sure to put some pictures up when I get back.  I hope everyone enjoys their holiday weekend.  The thing i am looking forward to most are the fireworks!! We leave tonight around nine and will be back saturday or sunday =)

Good News

I just got my first quiz back for my statistics class today.... I got an A! I am very happy about this great news.  We also had our first exam today which was harder than the quiz, so hopefully I do as well.

The bike clinic yesterday went well.  We had 16 kids and all but 3 learned how to ride ;) Today we have a field trip coming in with 80 kids.  It is going to be crazy and out of control, which makes it that much better.

Other than school and work my life is not too exciting at this point.

Happy 4th!!!!!!

Tennis??

So one of my good friends Luis thought that it would be a great idea to get out there and play some tennis... So we did!  I realized that I had not played tennis for years.  I was not great but Luis is going to be teaching me and soon enough I will be able to beat him.  I did wake up this morning with an arm that is very sore.

I am working a bike clinic today. This means that I am going to be teaching kids how to ride bikes for 2 hours.  It should be a good time :)
